There are many lakes in the River Fergus system around Corofin producing excellent pike and coarse fishing - including an Irish record tench and specimen bream over 10 lbs. Many of the lakes have boat facilities as well as shore fishing stands and are managed by the Shannon Regional Fisheries Board, including:
Ballycullinan Lake - 70 acres lake close to Corofin holding specimen Tench, Bream, Rudd, and large Pike. Pike re-stocked yearly. Car park, slipway & boat jetty.

Dromore Lakes - 400 acres of water including Ballyline, Black Lake & Dromore Lake,producing good stocks of Rudd, Tench, Perch and Pike in limestonewater. Specimen Tench up to 7.5 lbs and Pike up to 30 lbs.
Atedaun & Cullaun Lakes - Approx. 50acres each - both hold good stocks of Pike, Perch, Tench & Rudd
